The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) organized a one-day Guidance on Competition Compliance (GCC) Training Workshop specifically tailored for officials of microfinance banks associated with cellular companies operating in Pakistan. Representatives from Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited, U Microfinance Bank Limited, and Telenor Microfinance Bank Limited participated in the event. The workshop focused on substantive provisions of Competition Law relating to mergers & acquisitions, prohibited agreements, abuse of dominance, and deceptive marketing practices. Given the pivotal role of microfinance banks in Pakistan's economy and their expanding portfolios, CCP organized this specialized session to enhance awareness and promote self-compliance within the sector. Participants, comprising officials responsible for marketing, legal, compliance, risk management, investigation, branding, and financial affairs, benefited from practical insights and discussions on Competition Law.
