Ms. Rahat Kaunain Hassan assumes charge of office as the new Chairperson of CCP.

The newly appointed Chairperson of the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP), Ms. Rahat Kaunain Hassan, assumed the charge of her office today. The Notification No. 3-8/2010-Inv-III issued by the Government of Pakistan on Monday, 26 July 2010, said that Ms. Hassan had been appointed Chairperson of CCP by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. The position had fallen vacant after the retirement of Mr. Khalid Mirza on Sunday, 25 July 2010. Ms. Hassan has been working as Member, Legal and Office of Fair Trade (OFT), with CCP since 12 November 2007.
